MY STORY

MY STORY

Denis Rubić

My name is Denis Rubić. As a child, I always loved spending school holidays with my
grandfather Božo. He lived in the village of Rubići – yes, it really exists. His eyes and hands
told stories of a hard life, of laborious work and great sacrifices.
One of his eight children is my father, Nediljko (called Nedo), who – like my mother Iva –
knows all too well what “stone, sweat, and sacrifice” mean, even though they spent almost
their entire lives in Germany as guest workers.
After studying business administration, I worked in various leadership positions, but I felt a
deep need for change – a desire to create space for a higher purpose, a meaningful work, or an
idea. So, after more than 30 years in my “German home,” I returned to Dalmatia. Back to the
stone, to breathe life into it. To create something fruitful, something that adds value for both
people and the land.
And over time, of course, to craft the finest organic products from Maraska cherries – healthy,
irresistible, and leaving a lingering taste long after the last bite or sip.
Alongside Maraska cherries, we also grow sweet cherries, lavender, and immortelle – all
cultivated organically, in harmony with nature.
